This shirt brings back an iconic fabric from our 1980s archives in the same cut as our iconic Alaskan Guide Shirt. The Safari Cloth fabric is a cotton canvas with an exceptionally tight weave, once used for jackets on safaris for protection against aggressive insects. The material withstands abrasion and is nearly impervious to wind.
Safari Cloth shirts start out a bit stiff and soften with wear and washings. In addition to the added durability, another benefit of a fabric woven this tightly is sawdust and wood chips brush of with ease. The center-back box pleat along with the relaxed cut provide ease of motion on the job. Button-secure front closure and adjustable cuffs. Spread collar. Shirttail hem.
